Assistant Project Manager - Residential Construction Dube's General Contracting | Southern New Hampshire Dube's General Contracting is a growing residential remodeling company specializing in high-quality renovations and additions throughout Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to work directly with the Operations Manager to help coordinate residential construction projects from startup through completion. This is a hands-on role that combines field work, scheduling coordination, material management, and problem solving. This position is ideal for someone with construction experience who wants to grow into a Project Manager role. What You'll Be Doing You will assist the Operations Manager with the day-to-day coordination of active remodeling projects. Project Coordination Assist with managing multiple residential remodeling projects Monitor job progress and jobsite activity Identify potential issues with plans or in the field Communicate with subcontractors, project leads, and homeowners Assist with project startup and pre-construction walkthroughs Field Operations Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor progress Help manage punch lists and project closeouts Maintain jobsite cleanliness and safety expectations Assist with small field tasks when necessary (trim work, touch-ups, site cleanup) Scheduling & Planning Coordinate subcontractor schedules with the Operations Manager Assist with maintaining project schedules using project software Participate in weekly production meetings Plan upcoming work to prevent delays or downtime Materials & Logistics Coordinate material deliveries and pickups Work with local lumber yards and suppliers Ensure jobsites remain stocked with required materials Assist with supplier accounts and purchase tracking Project Tracking Document jobsite progress and conditions Communicate delays, material issues, or production challenges early Assist with job cost tracking and change orders Keep the Operations Manager informed of project health and risks Requirements We are looking for someone dependable, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced construction environment. Qualifications 2+ years of residential construction or remodeling experience preferred Ability to read and understand construction plans Strong problem-solving ability Professional communication with clients and subcontractors Comfortable using scheduling or project management software Valid driver's license Ability to lift 80 lbs Positive attitude and strong work ethic Applicants with residential remodeling experience will be prioritized. Work Environment This position combines field work and project coordination responsibilities. The Assistant Project Manager will visit job sites regularly and work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure projects remain organized, properly supplied, and moving forward according to schedule.
