PLEASE NOTE
This job requires previous management experience. Please only apply if you have a background of leadership/management experience. This is an in person Site Director opening for our Briarwood and Brooklake schools in Florham Park (separate positions). Position begins with our company wide training on August 25th, with the first day of school on September 2. This is a school year position, with the potential for summer camp hours in Chatham (summer '27) The ideal candidate must have at least three years of experience working with children (preferably school age) OR a bachelors degree plus two years experience . Candidate MUST also have supervisory experience. Briarwood projects to have about 40-45 students, Brooklake about 25. We are looking for committed individuals who can work the entire school year. This is a part time, afternoon position (2:30-6:30 approx). Please do not apply if you are not local to Chatham!
Job responsibilities include:
  • Managing day to day operations of the program site
  • Being able to successfully train and manage other adults
  • Being reliable and available to work 2:30pm to 6:30pm (Monday - Friday)
  • Being flexible and able to attend required monthly staff meetings and other meetings as necessary
  • Great conversationalist and ability to develop positive relationships with parents and school personnel
  • Experience with school age group; ability to nurture and yet have strong classroom management ability
  • Develop and implement monthly club activity schedule to keep kids engaged
  • Plan at least two annual family events for your program's parents
  • Professional and courteous; ability to adapt to ever changing environments
