Rothamel Building Company is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day construction of high-end custom homes and major residential renovation projects. Our Superintendents are the leaders of our job sites. We are looking for someone who understands construction, takes pride in their work, keeps projects organized, and holds subcontractors and vendors to a high standard. This position requires someone who is proactive, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of the daily operation of a construction site.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily construction activities on the job site Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, trades, inspections, and deliveries Maintain the project schedule and communicate upcoming needs to the Project Manager Review drawings and specifications and ensure work is being completed accordingly Monitor workmanship and maintain high quality standards throughout construction Identify potential problems before they affect the schedule or finished product Coordinate directly with subcontractors to resolve field conditions and construction issues Maintain a clean, organized, professional, and safe job site Perform regular quality-control inspections Track job-site progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager Coordinate material deliveries and confirm materials are on site when needed Maintain daily reports, photographs, and job-site documentation Develop positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, architects, designers, and inspectors Manage projects through punch list and final completion
What We're Looking For:
Residential construction experience required Superintendent, foreman, or construction management experience preferred Experience with high-end custom homes and major renovations strongly preferred Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, sequencing, and building practices Ability to read architectural and construction drawings Strong understanding of multiple residential trades Excellent organizational and communication skills High attention to detail and workmanship Ability to coordinate multiple trades and keep a project moving Comfortable holding subcontractors accountable for schedule and quality Professional appearance and communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation This is an important position within our company.
