Magro and Sons is a growing general construction and maintenance company based in Hamburg, NJ. We're looking for a Construction Manager to oversee day-to-day project execution across our residential and light-commercial jobs in the Vernon/Sussex County area. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll be running multiple projects at once, coordinating crews and subs, keeping jobs on schedule and on budget, and making sure the work that goes out the door meets our standard. What You'll Be Doing Planning, scheduling, and overseeing residential construction and maintenance projects from start to finish Coordinating field crews, subcontractors, and material/equipment deliveries to keep jobs moving Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance Managing project budgets, tracking costs, and flagging scope or change-order issues early Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, property managers, and HOA boards on active jobs Reviewing work performed against plans, specs, and company quality standards Ordering materials and managing job-site logistics Reporting project status to ownership and helping refine internal processes as the company grows What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in construction Strong working knowledge of carpentry, framing, decking, exterior repair, and general residential construction practices Experience managing multiple concurrent job sites and crews Comfortable reading plans/specs and managing budgets and schedules Strong communication skills — you'll be dealing directly with clients and property managers Valid driver's license required Proficiency with basic project management/scheduling tools (or willingness to learn ours) Compensation & Schedule Salary commensurate with experience Full-time, Monday-Friday (field availability required; some flexibility based on project schedule) Weekly pay Paid time off Professional development assistance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply.
