Commercial Construction Site Manager Apex Commercial Builders Teaneck, NJ Job Details Full-time $80,000 - $100,000 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications Project reporting Mechanical blueprint interpretation Electrical blueprint reading Construction specifications Maintaining an organized workspace Coordinating with subcontractors on construction projects Construction cost control 5 years Operations coordination Staff scheduling Team scheduling Construction budget management Construction drawing review Construction quality inspections Organizational skills Managing teams in a construction management role Construction subcontract management Budgeting Construction quality control Clean workspace maintenance Commercial building projects Senior level Crew management Leadership Communication skills Construction quality assurance experience Construction stakeholder coordination Progress tracking (project management tasks) Full Job Description Qualifications Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience Strong experience managing fast-paced commercial construction sites Ability to read and fully understand architectural, structural, MEP, and design drawings Strong understanding of construction specifications and scopes of work Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously Strong scheduling, organization, and field management skills Ability to identify problems before they cause delays or additional costs Strong communication and leadership skills Daily Jobsite Management The Site Manager is responsible for the daily operation and coordination of the jobsite. Open, close, and secure the jobsite as required. Maintain a safe, clean, neat, and organized jobsite. Coordinate all subcontractors and trades working onsite. Confirm with subcontractor foremen/managers the day before that crews will arrive as scheduled. Follow up with subcontractors again each morning to confirm arrival and manpower. Send the office a morning update explaining what is happening at each jobsite. Monitor daily construction progress. Confirm work is being performed according to the drawings, specifications, approved submittals, RFIs, and approved changes. Inspect workmanship and address deficiencies promptly. Coordinate trades to avoid conflicts and delays. Identify potential problems, delays, or additional costs and immediately communicate them to the office. Monitor the project to help ensure work remains within budget.
