Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Field Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities Directly supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship. Develop, review, and interpret construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to maintain project timelines. Oversee daily site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations. Review blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction drawings to verify accuracy and facilitate proper execution of work. Coordinate with project managers on budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation to meet project objectives. Manage site safety programs, conduct regular safety inspections, and enforce strict adherence to construction safety management practices. Monitor quality control processes, inspect work for compliance with specifications, and address any issues promptly. Review contracts and manage change orders using ProCore or Prolog to ensure proper documentation and communication. Lead team meetings to communicate project updates, schedule changes, and safety reminders effectively. Supervise the interpretation of technical drawings using tools such as schematics and ohmmeters for electrical or instrumentation work. Oversee construction schedule coordination across multiple trades to optimize productivity and minimize delays. Ensure all construction activities comply with industry standards, local building codes, and environmental regulations. Experience Proven track record in heavy civil or commercial construction management with extensive site supervision experience. Demonstrated ability managing teams in a fast-paced construction environment with strong leadership skills. Experience utilizing construction management software such as Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, HeavyBid or similar tools for scheduling and project documentation. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints across various disciplines including electrical, mechanical, and civil works. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) along with best practices in construction safety management. Strong understanding of contracts management, budgeting processes, and project scheduling techniques. Hands-on experience supervising large crews on complex projects involving pipeline installation or infrastructure development is preferred. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.
