Overview A growing telecommunications infrastructure project in southern Mexico is seeking an experienced
- Construction Manager
- to oversee field operations supporting a large-scale outside plant (OSP) fiber build.
- Oversee daily field operations for OSP fiber construction projects.
- Manage activities including:
- Direct-bury fiber installation
- Fiber jetting and pulling
- Fiber splicing and testing
- Electrical and equipment installation
- Excavation and trenching operations
- Pole-mounted infrastructure installation
- Camera installation
- Yard and material management
- Lead and coordinate internal crews and subcontractors.
- Ensure quality control and project standards are maintained.
- Monitor production schedules and project milestones.
- Conduct field oversight and support project execution.
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders and contractors.
- Prepare reports and perform light administrative duties.
- Assist with project coordination, documentation, and closeout activities.
- Motivate crews and help drive productivity in the field. Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of OSP or underground construction management experience.
- Experience leading field crews and managing daily construction operations.
- Strong quality control experience within an OSP environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Willingness to work in the field and support hands-on construction activities when needed.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, flexible, and self-motivated. Preferred Qualifications
- Telecommunications fiber construction experience.
- Experience managing multiple crews across geographically dispersed job sites.
- Background in underground utility construction, fiber installation, and related infrastructure projects. Work Environment
- Project located in a rural area of southern Mexico.
- Housing accommodations are available through onsite camp facilities, including private one-bedroom units with a full kitchen and bathroom.
- Daily per diem provided.
- Company vehicle provided for work-related travel.
- Position requires traveling between multiple job sites along approximately a 90-mile corridor.
- Participation in daily safety meetings is expected.
- Employees may travel home on weekends at their own expense.
