Job Description

General Mananger Our client a leader in the Oil and Gas construction industry providing an expanding range of integrated products and services for the energy industry including production services, field construction, pipeline, facility, and plant management and maintenance services. The client has is a preferred provider of infrastructure construction management, module fabrication, and maintenance services.
JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Responsible for serving as the general manager of a district profit center operation and managing both strategic and operational activities. Supervises other professionals and office personnel. Is the senior representative for the company in the district.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop and recommend the strategic business plan for the district, including sales forecasts and operational and capital budgets and prepare periodic updates of the plan and related analyses. Monitor and evaluate district operations, especially in relation to established plans and budgets, and prepare periodic reports and analyses for review with senior management. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers/accounts in the district, identify and document anticipated /planned needs and opportunities, and take the initiative in developing new business with key accounts. Recruit, select, and assign subordinate personnel, assess and define their training and development needs, and initiate and recommend associated personnel actions, to include formal training, compensation adjustments, and promotions and transfers. Manage the implementation and administration of safety programs and practices in the district, ensure compliance with established standards and requirements, and prepare related reports and recommendations for review with senior management. Participate actively in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement processes, especially those aimed at improving operational performance and enhancing the profitability of district operations. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, to include new markets, product lines and customers, and develop and implement plans and activities to realize new business objectives.
