Licensed General Contractor - Genesis Property Management LLC Las Cruces, NM Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract From $20 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Hardscape Contractor management Drywall Construction industry experience Organizational skills Managing projects Roofing Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dependable Licensed General Contractor to oversee residential construction, renovation, remodeling, and property improvement projects from planning through completion. Candidates must possess an active New Mexico GB-2 Residential Building Contractor license or GB-98 General Building Contractor license in good standing . The General Contractor will be responsible for coordinating and supervising construction activities, subcontractors, vendors, materials, project schedules, budgets, inspections, and overall job-site operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on construction knowledge combined with the leadership and organizational skills necessary to manage projects efficiently and maintain high standards of workmanship. Responsibilities include reviewing construction plans and scopes of work, developing and reviewing project estimates, coordinating subcontractors and trades, ordering and managing materials, monitoring project timelines, conducting job-site inspections, maintaining quality control, addressing construction issues, and ensuring projects comply with applicable building codes, permitting requirements, and safety standards. The position may oversee projects involving remodeling, framing, drywall, flooring, tile, cabinetry, roofing, concrete, masonry, doors and windows, plumbing, electrical coordination, painting, exterior improvements, hardscaping, and general building construction . The contractor is not expected to personally perform every trade but must have sufficient construction knowledge to properly supervise, coordinate, and evaluate the quality of work being completed. The successful candidate must be capable of managing multiple projects, communicating effectively with management, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors, and ensuring that projects remain on schedule and within established budgets. Required Contractor License Applicants must possess at least one of the following active New Mexico contractor licenses: GB-2 - Residential Building Contractor GB-98 - General Building Contractor The applicable license must remain active and in good standing throughout employment. Applicants who do not currently hold an active GB-2 or GB-98 license will not be considered.
