Overview:
The Lead I will play a key role in overseeing and coordinating construction activities, managing crew members, and ensuring the successful execution of projects. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:
Coordinate and oversee construction projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion and adherence to project specifications. Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers, facilitating communication and resolving issues as they arise. 2.
Crew Management:
Lead and supervise construction crews, including skilled tradespeople, laborers, and subcontractors, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure efficient and productive work performance. Assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members based on their skills, experience, and availability, and monitor progress to ensure work is completed on schedule and according to quality standards. 3.
Safety Leadership:
Promote a culture of safety excellence on the job site by enforcing safety policies, procedures, and regulations, conducting regular safety meetings, and providing training and resources to crew members. Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations, and implement corrective actions to mitigate safety risks and prevent accidents or injuries. 4.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all work performed meets or exceeds project specifications, industry standards, and company quality requirements, conducting regular inspections and quality checks to verify compliance. Address any quality issues or non-conformities promptly, implementing corrective actions and process improvements as needed to maintain high standards of workmanship. 5.
Client Relations:
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and resolving any issues or conflicts in a timely and professional manner. Identify opportunities for additional work or project enhancements and collaborate with sales and estimating teams to generate proposals and secure new business. 6.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop project plans, resolve technical challenges, and optimize construction processes. Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and stakeholders to provide updates, share information, and coordinate activities to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on overseeing commercial, industrial, or institutional projects. Strong leadership abilities, with proven experience in supervising and motivating construction crews to achieve project goals. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders and resolve issues diplomatically. Thorough knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and regulations, with a commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as MS Project, Primavera, or Procore, preferred. Sure Steel, Inc. is an equal opportunity organization.
