A Construction Project Manager supervises construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. Controls the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. Plans and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.
We're looking to add someone to our estimating and project coordination team who wants to be involved in the full lifecycle of a project — not just one piece of it. We're looking for someone who enjoys being involved in every stage of a project — not someone who prefers to only estimate or only manage from behind a desk. This person will work directly alongside two experienced estimator/project managers and get exposure to both sides of the business from day one. What you'll be doing: Assist with preparing construction estimates and bid proposals Perform quantity takeoffs from civil and architectural drawings Request and compare subcontractor and supplier pricing Help prepare project budgets and track costs through construction Coordinate project paperwork — submittals, RFIs, change orders, contracts Communicate with owners, engineers, architects, subs, and field supervisors Visit job sites as needed to understand scope, progress, and conditions Help keep projects organized, on schedule, and on budget What we're looking for: Construction industry experience preferred — civil/sitework background a plus Ability to read construction drawings, or a genuine willingness to learn Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Solid computer skills — Microsoft Office at minimum; estimating software a plus Clear communicator who can hold their own with subs, vendors, and field crews Self-motivated, ownership mentality, no hand-holding required Someone who wants to grow into a well-rounded construction professional, not get boxed into one lane
