Pay:
$90,000 - $130,000 Depending on Experience Position Summary Platinum Roofing & Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced, organized, and motivated Roofing & Construction Project Manager to oversee residential and/or commercial roofing and construction projects from initial contract through final completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating crews, subcontractors, materials, schedules, customers, inspections, and project documentation while ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to Platinum Roofing & Construction's quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and problem-solver who understands roofing and construction, takes ownership of their projects, and can effectively manage multiple jobs at various stages of completion. Key Responsibilities Project Management Manage roofing and construction projects from start to finish. Review project scopes, contracts, estimates, drawings, and specifications. Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate work between crews, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and other parties. Conduct job-site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and overall project execution. Ensure projects remain on schedule and within established budgets. Identify potential delays, material issues, scope changes, and other challenges and address them proactively. Coordinate permits, inspections, deliveries, and required documentation. Maintain accurate project records, including photographs, change orders, material documentation, and customer communications. Conduct final inspections and ensure punch-list items are completed before project closeout. Roofing & Construction Operations Coordinate roofing crews and subcontractors to ensure proper installation and workmanship. Verify that materials and installation practices meet manufacturer specifications, building codes, project requirements, and company standards. Identify construction deficiencies and ensure corrective work is completed promptly. Coordinate material ordering and deliveries to minimize downtime. Monitor material usage and help control project costs and waste. Work with suppliers and subcontractors to resolve scheduling, material, and performance issues. Assist with estimating, takeoffs, scope development, and project planning as needed. Customer Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project. Communicate project schedules, progress, changes, and expectations clearly and professionally. Address customer questions and concerns promptly. Set appropriate expectations regarding timelines, weather delays, materials, inspections, and project completion. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and professionalism throughout every project. Participate in final project walkthroughs with customers when appropriate. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities Monitor project budgets, labor costs, material costs, subcontractor costs, and overall profitability. Review invoices and subcontractor work for accuracy. Document and manage change orders and additional work. Track project progress and assist with billing and collections as needed. Maintain organized and accurate project files. Provide regular project updates to company leadership. Safety & Compliance Promote a strong job-site safety culture. Ensure crews and subcontractors follow applicable OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and job-site safety procedures. Report and address unsafe working conditions immediately. Ensure appropriate safety equipment and practices are being used on job sites. Help ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, manufacturer requirements, and local regulations. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in roofing, construction, project management, or a related field preferred. Strong knowledge of roofing systems, construction practices, materials, and installation processes. Previous experience managing crews, subcontractors, or multiple construction projects. Ability to read and understand estimates, scopes of work, plans, specifications, and contracts. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer-service and relationship-management skills. Ability to identify problems and develop practical solutions quickly. Proficiency with computers, email, Microsoft Office, and project-management software. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to travel between multiple job sites. Ability to work outdoors and visit active construction sites. Ability to safely climb ladders, walk roofs and construction sites when required, and perform routine job-site inspections. Preferred Qualifications Experience specifically in residential or commercial roofing. Experience with insurance restoration and storm-damage projects. Knowledge of local building codes and permitting requirements. OSHA safety training or certification is a plus but not required. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with subcontractor management and contract compliance. Familiarity with roofing manufacturers' installation requirements and warranty standards.
