Male Associates, an employee-owned, multi-discipline engineering, surveying, and architectural firm based in the Capital Region, is seeking an experienced Survey Services Division Manager to lead and grow our Survey Division. In this leadership role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across New York and surrounding states, and lead a group of 34 survey professionals while leveraging and expanding your professional network to help grow the Division.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead the overall operations, strategic direction and performance of the Division, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards.
  • Oversee project staffing, resource allocation, and scheduling to maximize utilization and support successful project execution.
  • Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop Division staff through their career development.
  • Manage Division business development efforts, including evaluating opportunities, developing proposals, and maintaining client relationships.
  • Serve as Project Manager on designated projects and provide guidance and support to teams through the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee advanced technology usage and adaptation in surveying including drone and LiDAR technologies.
  • Monitor budgets, project profitability, billings, and overall division performance metrics.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional client service.
Pay Range:
$135,000 - $165,000 per year, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Job Requirements What You'll Bring to the
Team:
  • Bachelors or Associate's degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Fifteen plus (15+) years of progressively responsible surveying experience.
  • New York State Professional Land Surveyor (P.L.S.). Capable of obtaining licensure in other states.
  • Proven experience managing survey projects, teams, and client relationships.
  • Strong business development and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience developing budgets, strategic plans, and business growth initiatives.
