This position is ideal for someone who has developed a strong foundation in project management and is ready to take the next step in their career by assuming greater responsibility and ultimately leading our Installation Department . The right person is highly organized, proactive, accountable, and able to stay ahead of multiple projects at the same time. We are looking for someone who doesn't simply react to problems—they plan ahead, identify potential issues before they happen, and make sure projects are properly prepared and executed. Experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical contracting, plumbing, electrical, or commercial construction is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Manage commercial installation projects from award through completion. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and installation timelines. Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and material deliveries. Review project drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and customer requirements. Ensure all equipment and materials are ordered and available before they are needed. Plan manpower requirements and coordinate installation schedules with field leadership. Conduct project kickoff and pre-installation planning meetings. Communicate regularly with customers, general contractors, vendors, technicians, and company leadership. Track project progress, deadlines, budgets, change orders, and outstanding items. Identify potential project risks and resolve issues before they impact the schedule. Ensure field teams have the information, equipment, materials, and resources necessary to execute successfully. Maintain strong project documentation and communication. Coordinate project startup, commissioning, punch lists, and closeout. Help develop and improve installation processes, procedures, and standards. Take increasing responsibility for the overall performance and organization of the Installation Department. Hold yourself and the team accountable for delivering projects safely, professionally, on schedule, and at a high level of quality. What We're Looking For Approximately 3-6 years of construction project management experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Senior Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, or similar position. Experience with commercial construction projects; mechanical/HVAC/refrigeration experience is a major plus. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to manage several active projects simultaneously. Strong sense of urgency and follow-through. Ability to anticipate problems instead of waiting for them to happen. Comfortable coordinating and directing field personnel. Strong communication skills with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams. Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation. Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership of results.
