Job Description
Overview We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Golf Course Construction Superintendent who thrives on travel and project diversity. In this dynamic role, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of golf course construction projects across multiple locations across the country . Your expertise in managing complex construction activities, supervising teams, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards will drive the successful delivery of premier golf course developments. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects while utilizing your extensive construction management experience in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Housing provided while traveling. We will consider training for the right person Duties Oversee all phases of golf course construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. Manage and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors on-site, providing clear direction and maintaining high safety standards. Coordinate project schedules Review blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of design intent. Monitor construction safety compliance with OSHA regulations and federal safety standards, conducting regular site inspections. Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and daily reports Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets design specifications and industry standards; address issues promptly. Facilitate communication between clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to ensure project alignment and transparency. Control project budgets by tracking costs, managing procurement processes, and coordinating with suppliers for materials like pipework or heavy equipment. Lead project meetings to review progress, troubleshoot challenges, and adjust schedules as needed for seamless project flow. Skills Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management with a focus on large-scale outdoor projects such as golf courses or similar landscapes. Strong proficiency in construction management software Extensive knowledge of construction regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety protocols related to outdoor construction sites. Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for precise execution of design plans. Excellent team management skills with a track record of supervising diverse crews effectively while fostering a safety-first environment. Ability to coordinate complex construction schedules ensuring timely completion without compromising quality or safety standards. Effective managerial communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams confidently. Experience in budgeting, cost control, contract administration, and procurement processes within the construction industry. Familiarity with construction site safety equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical testing or other specialized tools required on-site.
