Leading designer and manufacturer of architectural signage headquartered in Mount Vernon, New York. Our expertise spans across a variety of sectors including hospitality, health care, residential, retail, corporate and education. We are seeking a motivated, talented, and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team. We offer a competitive salary and benefits.
Position:
As an Assistant Project Manager , you will play a critical role in collaborating with our Project Managers in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to contract deadlines and within budget. You will be part of a cross-functional team, including design, production, quality control, and logistics functions, to ensure successful project outcomes. For us each project, no matter the size, is treated with individualized customer service from start to finish. Responsibilities Assisting Project Managers with overseeing the management of projects and work with the design, development, manufacturing, and installation phases to ensure client deadlines are met. Completing tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner. Contributing to the planning and development of projects. Attending site surveys and project walk-throughs as needed. Utilizing communication and time management skills to manage flow of information to and from the art department. Qualifications Associates or higher Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related areas preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a professional demeanor. Must be able to read blueprints. Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be organized and able to work independently. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Must have basic knowledge of ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project (or comparable program) Ability to read architectural drawings and design specifications a plus. Ability to reliably commute to Mount Vernon, NY a must.
Computer Skills:
This position requires extensive use of computer systems and specialized software to manage projects effectively. The Project Manager will be expected to learn and familiarize themselves with the relevant software programs and tools used in the company's day-to-day operations. We expect the candidate to demonstrate a proactive approach to mastering the program and its features. As part of the interview process, potential candidates will be tested on their ability to navigate and use the program effectively. A strong commitment to learning and proficiency in the software will be a key factor in determining suitability for the role. Schedule Monday - Thursday; 7:30 am to 4:30 pm | Friday; 7:30 am to 1:30 pm
