Office Manager / Bookkeeper Rush Hour Construction New Hyde Park, NY Full-time Job Summary Rush Hour Construction is seeking a highly organized and experienced Office Manager / Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in construction bookkeeping and office administration . AIA billing experience is mandatory. Candidates without hands-on AIA billing experience will not be considered. The right person will be responsible for managing day-to-day office operations, bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, job costing support, and construction-related administrative tasks. Responsibilities Prepare and process AIA billing / progress billing Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records Assist with job costing and tracking project expenses Support payroll processing and coordination with CPA/accountant Track subcontractor payments, lien waivers, and insurance certificates Maintain organized digital and physical office files Handle vendor, client, and subcontractor communication Support daily office operations and administrative functions
Requirements Required:
Direct experience with AIA billing 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Experience in the construction industry preferred Strong understanding of A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Professional communication skills Preferred Qualifications Construction office experience Knowledge of job costing Experience with construction/project management software Experience supporting a growing construction company Compensation Competitive pay based on experience Opportunity for long-term growth Stable position with an established construction company Application Question Do you have direct hands-on experience preparing AIA billing forms such as
