We are looking for a Assistant Project Manager who wants to become an integral part of a close-knit team and contribute to the continued growth of the company. Role Summary The Assistant Project Manager will support the planning, coordination, and execution of high-end residential custom home construction and renovation projects. This position provides exposure to the full construction process, from sitework through completion and client move-in , while working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and vendors. The successful candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication ability, construction knowledge, and a willingness to take initiative and solve problems. What You'll DoProject Coordination & Construction Support the Project Manager and construction team throughout the project lifecycle. Assist with coordination of residential construction activities from sitework through completion and move-in. Develop an understanding of project plans, specifications, schedules, scopes, and construction requirements. Coordinate information among clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, vendors, Project Managers, and Superintendents. Assist with tracking project progress and identifying items requiring follow-up. Help coordinate construction activities across multiple trades and phases of work. Participate in jobsite meetings, project walkthroughs, inspections, and coordination activities. Help ensure work is progressing according to project requirements, schedules, and quality expectations. Construction Knowledge & Trade Coordination Develop and apply working knowledge of residential construction activities, including: Sitework Foundations Masonry Carpentry Framing Mechanical systems Electrical systems Plumbing Insulation Drywall Interior finishes Final completion and punch-list activities The Assistant Project Manager should be comfortable communicating with trade contractors and understanding how individual construction activities fit together within the overall project. Project Documentation & Administration Maintain organized project documentation and records. Assist with reviewing plans, drawings, specifications, and project-related documents. Assist with project schedules, updates, and follow-up items. Help track materials, selections, outstanding decisions, and project requirements. Prepare and maintain information using company systems and technology. Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with project documentation and administrative requirements. Communicate project issues and required decisions promptly to the appropriate team members. Client, Architect & Subcontractor Communication Support professional and timely communication with clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and vendors. Participate in project meetings and discussions as appropriate. Follow up on outstanding questions, information, materials, and commitments. Help ensure project participants have the information necessary to perform their responsibilities. Represent Brookes & Henderson professionally when interacting with clients and project partners. Quality & Problem Solving Assist with identifying potential construction issues before they become larger problems. Communicate concerns clearly and promptly. Participate in developing practical solutions to construction and coordination issues. Assist with quality-control activities throughout the project. Help identify incomplete or deficient work and communicate required corrective action. Support punch-list and final completion activities. Team & Process Support Work collaboratively with the Project Manager, Superintendents, and other team members. Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through to completion. Contribute ideas that may improve project coordination and company processes. Learn and follow the company's established systems and procedures. Maintain a professional, respectful, and solutions-oriented approach. Be willing to take on additional responsibilities as skills and experience develop. Qualifications Must-Haves Minimum 2 years of residential construction experience preferred . Working knowledge of residential construction from sitework through completion. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly with clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members. Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Demonstrated ability to identify problems and participate in developing solutions. Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on assigned responsibilities. Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions or escalate an issue. Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills. Professional approach to clients, coworkers, subcontractors, and vendors. Valid driver's license. Reliable transportation. High school diploma or GED. Ability to travel to and work at project locations throughout the Greater Cleveland Area. Ability to work a full-time schedule and additional hours when project requirements make them necessary. Ability to safely perform the essential physical functions of the position, including lifting approximately 50 pounds and, when required, up to 80 pounds . Nice-to-Haves Experience with high-end custom residential construction. Experience with residential renovations and additions. Experience working directly with architects and designers. Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple construction trades. Experience with project documentation and construction administration. Experience with construction-management software. Microsoft Excel experience beyond basic spreadsheet use. Technology & Software The Assistant Project Manager should be comfortable using technology as part of daily project operations.

The Assistant Project Manager may be required to walk active construction sites, climb stairs, navigate uneven surfaces, inspect construction areas, and occasionally lift or carry construction materials, tools, or equipment.
