Job Description
We're hiring an experienced OSP Construction Project Manager based in Northern Ohio to lead outside plant fiber and underground utility projects from kickoff through closeout.
This is a field-based role:
you'll run crews and subcontractors, coordinate with carrier and ISP partners, manage schedules and budgets, enforce safety and quality standards, and own the production numbers on your jobs. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute OSP construction projects from kickoff through closeout, including aerial and underground fiber builds, HDD, plowing, and trenching. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and scopes of work; track production against plan and adjust resourcing as needed. Supervise field crews and subcontractors; ensure work meets technical specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements. Serve as primary point of contact for carrier/ISP project managers, inspectors, and internal stakeholders. Manage daily reporting, documentation, redlines, as-builts, and change orders. Communicate with Utility Locating Companies to schedule locates. Qualifications 3+ years managing OSP, FTTH, or underground utility construction projects. Strong understanding of OSP construction methods: HDD, plow, trench, aerial, conduit placement, splicing handoff, and restoration. Ability to read construction prints, KMZs, staking sheets, redlines, and as-builts; white line jobs in the field. Working knowledge of permitting, ROW, easement, and pole attachment processes. Proficient with project management and production tracking software. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel within project areas (field-based role).
