Compensation:
$110,000- $145,000 per year, W2, based on qualification
Position Overview:
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing all aspects of the estimating and bid process for complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will be a client-facing leader with experience managing a team of estimators. This position is part of a succession plan to eventually take on the role of Director of Pre-Construction.Key Responsibilities:
Review and execute bids on multiple and/or more complex projects Prepare complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals Develop and manage scopes of work for all trades, including responsibility matrix and pricing Collaborate with operations to provide constructability and coordination reviews of project documents Present and sell estimates and proposals, participating in project procurement presentations Inspire a sense of team in the work environment and provide on-the-job guidance Provide training and mentorship to a team of 2-4 estimators Develop and maintain client and subcontractor relationships Assume responsibility for day-to-day financial management of assigned scope Partner with operations to assess and mitigate riskPrimary Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field (or equivalent relevant experience) 5+ years of estimating experience Proven experience managing and leading a team; cannot be an individual contributor role Client-facing experience is required Advanced ability to read and understand drawings and specifications Advanced proficiency in construction estimating software Knowledge of the means and methods of construction management Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally Successful completion of OSHA 30 training, First Aid Certification, and CPR within required timeframeDesired Skills:
8+ years of construction experience Experience in higher education, healthcare, or industrial construction Knowledge of MBE, WBE, and SBA regulations American Society of Professional Estimators certification Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate Designated Design-Build Professional Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
