Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Janitorial Site Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial services, with a focus on ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all building occupants. This role requires leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness. Perform various cleaning tasks including floor care, buffing, and general janitorial duties across commercial and residential spaces. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels. Train and mentor custodial staff on best practices in cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep. Address any custodial-related issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to building operations. Qualifications 2-3 years proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is essential; prior supervisory experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and industrial cleaning practices. Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures and porter experience is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
