Job Description
Job Description Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Sr. Construction Manager to lead MLZ data center construction projects from design handoff through commissioning. You will manage large, complex builds, overseeing general contractors, trades, and vendors to deliver highly reliable infrastructure on time and on budget. Responsibilities include schedule and cost control, safety and quality oversight, change management, and coordination with design, operations, and security teams. You'll use data to drive decisions, report progress to leadership, and continuously improve delivery across a fast-paced global portfolio. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of MLZ data center construction projects Manage schedules, budgets, and cost controls across multiple projects Oversee general contractors, trades, and vendors for quality and safety Coordinate with design, operations, and security teams on requirements Implement and monitor safety and quality standards on-site Drive change management, RFIs, and issue resolution Use data and metrics to track performance and improve execution Report construction status, risks, and mitigations to leadership Ensure projects meet technical specifications and commissioning requirements Support continuous improvement of construction processes and standards Required Skills Data center construction management Project scheduling (Primavera/MS Project) Budgeting and cost control Contract and vendor management MEP systems and critical infrastructure knowledge Risk management and mitigation Construction quality and safety management Cross-functional stakeholder coordination Reading and interpreting technical drawings/BIMReporting and documentation
