In this role, you will be responsible for planning and leading the Building and Construction P&L and crafting and driving the commercial strategy for this top growth segment. The successful candidate will provide vision and direction to the organization and drive execution to achieve the goals for the segment. We are looking for an individual that fits in well with our entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about bold growth. You will report to the Marketing Director, Performance Tapes NA.In this important role you will be responsible for:
  • Provide vision and strategy to a high value growth segment with an advanced product portfolio.
  • Develop strategic and annual operating plans and lead efforts of a cross-functional team efforts to meet evolving customer and market needs.
  • Responsible for managing the P&L for a select product portfolio and developing and executing pricing strategies for the assigned products to optimize growth and profitability.
  • Implement and execute a portfolio management approach to assigned products to optimize growth and profitability.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the demand generation plans and communication strategies including product promotions, data sheets, selling sheets, training, PR, advertising, website, on-line marketing material etc.
  • Lead execution of multi-generation product plans including: new product introductions and line extensions, product re-engineering and cost out, product promotions, data sheets, selling sheets, training and other sales tools and communication of product and service program changes
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand into new segments and applications using current and new product platforms
  • Participate in external events and end user calls/visits to understand market insights and trends and ensure our strategies are aligned to meet future needs.
  • Collaborate with sales force and regional segment managers to support growth and/or product development initiatives.
  • Work closely with the R D and technical support teams to develop and launch new products in your designated markets.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Sales in the development/implementation of service strategies & programs for assigned product lines.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
QualificationsRequired:
  • Bachelor degree
  • 8+years experience leading a technical product line with demonstrated growth and performance or related commercial experience
  • Ability to generate support and excitement among an informal, cross-functional team in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills
  • Strong financial and business insight with a consistent track record of resultsAttested project leadership and critical thinking skills
Preferred:
  • Engineering undergraduate degree or experience working in a technical, business to business environment
  • MBA degree. Sales experience
