Job Description

General Manager -Great Plains Kubota is a family owned and operated and we are passionate about serving our employees and our customers. We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead operations at our Agriculture dealership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily store operations, sales, inventory, and customer service, while ensuring profitability and efficiency. The Great Plains General Manager oversees the Inside salespersons and is capable of assisting and selling equipment to customers when the other salespersons are helping other customers. The overall responsibility of the General Manager is to know the pulse of all business segments in the store and to communicate the needs and successes to Coordinators, Analysts and Vice Presidents and CEO. The General manager is highly skilled with technology and can use proprietary software as well as Microsoft and Google products. The Store Manager understands the relationship of Parts, Sales, Service and Rental and is the key to guiding and developing employees and processes among these disciplines. Regular meetings, calls, and reporting drives the communication cadence among business segment Coordinators, Analysts, District Managers and Owners. The Store Manager of the Great Plains Kubota Dealership keeps Parts, Rental, Sales and Service united to deliver the highest possible customer service and profitability. The Store Manager demonstrates personal integrity and a proven sales and management history. Job Scope and Duties- This role will serve surrounding areas. The successful store manager will assist the sales team to source new sales opportunities and will also assist salespersons to close sales. Success in this role requires the General Manager to sell equipment and to understand market share and will recognizes strategies to grow market share and profits for Parts, Sales, Service and Rental. The Great Plains General Manager must be a self-starter and possess the maturity to work with little direction and supervision, and is capable of mastering various technology platforms and proprietary business systems. The Great Plains Kubota General Manager possesses outstanding organizational and managerial skills and must meet regular reporting deadlines. The GP General Manager possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. and develops their staff's performance as service technicians, parts and equipment salespersons, rental team members, service writers, wash-bay and yard coordinators, The General Manager models exemplary character and behavior. Minimum 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in an agricultural, equipment, or retail setting Strong knowledge of agriculture equipment, parts, or farming practices Proven leadership and team management skills Excellent customer service and sales ability Proficient in inventory management Ability to interpret financial statements and create actionable plans Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, or related field Experience working with known agricultural brands, Kubota, New Holland, Case IH, ACCO, or John Deere etc. Familiarity with CRM of dealership management software (CDK, DIS, AgriSync) The Agricultural and Construction Equipment business operates as a Safety-Sensitive business, a clean drug test is required.
