Role snapshot We're hiring a Field Superintendent who prefers to be in the field, thrives on supporting multiple concurrent jobs, and leads by example. You'll mentor foremen and operators, jump in when needed, and keep schedules, quality, and safety tight. What you'll do Own day-to-day site operations across multiple projects, safety, quality, production, and logistics. Coordinate crews, subs, trucking, materials, and inspections to keep work moving and eliminate bottlenecks. Run structured huddles; track progress, photos, and notes; escalate issues early with options/solutions. Hold the line on safety (OSHA compliance, JHAs, toolbox talks) and quality standards. Read plans/specs, verify quantities, and work with PMs on look-ahead schedules and change impacts. Coach, mentor, and grow field leaders; give clear feedback, recognize wins, and model professional conduct. Help with layout, problem-solve utilities/conflicts, and pitch in when the team needs a hand. What you bring 5+ years field leadership (Superintendent or strong Foreman stepping up) in civil, excavation, or utilities. Proven track record running multiple crews/jobs safely and efficiently. Fluent with plans/specs, production tracking, and scheduling. Strong communicator, clear, direct, and steady under pressure. Comfortable with basic digital tools (daily reports, photos, schedules). HeavyJob/ProCore or similar a plus. OSHA 30 (or willing to obtain), valid driver's license; CDL helpful but not required. Equipment & scope you'll see Excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, compactors, and dump trucks on civil/site work, utilities, earthwork, and roadwork.
