Job Description

Construction Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to provide field-based oversight for large industrial and infrastructure projects. This role involves managing subcontractors in areas such as heavy civil, MEP, utilities, demolition, decontamination, and infrastructure replacement. As the on-site representative, you will ensure compliance with safety, scope, schedule, and budget requirements. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing daily field activities in a general contractor-style role. Responsibilities Assemble and lead field teams, assigning responsibilities according to the Project Execution Plan (PEP). Coordinate subcontractors and lead daily field and coordination meetings. Manage high-risk work permits including excavation, confined space, line breaks, LOTO, and elevated work. Serve as the primary field contact, resolving constructability issues and reviewing drawings in the field. Enforce safety, quality, environmental, and project execution standards. Estimate labor, material, and equipment costs. Support change management and cost/schedule updates with the Project Manager. Complete real-time field documentation using ACC, Procore, or similar platforms. Essential Skills 5-15+ years of construction management experience on industrial or infrastructure projects. Direct oversight of heavy civil and industrial MEP work, including excavation, utilities, large-diameter pipe, and equipment installations. Experience in administering high-risk work such as confined space, excavation, LOTO, line breaks, and elevated work. Advanced use of construction management software like ACC, Procore, or equivalents for daily reporting and field documentation. Ability to manage work from incomplete design packages in a design-build environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in regulated, active industrial, or operating facilities. OSHA 30 certification preferred, or willingness to renew/obtain per site requirements. Experience with EPCM, utility, or federal-style projects with strict safety and documentation controls. Experience in environmental, remediation, or decontamination work strongly preferred. Proficient with construction management platforms like ACC and Procore. CCM certification is a plus. Degree not required; a mix of trade, environmental, or engineering backgrounds acceptable. Work Environment The Construction Manager will work out of a construction trailer on-site, starting the day around 6:30 AM with reviewing permits and daily work plans. The majority of the day is spent in the field, directly overseeing contractor work, with exposure to all weather conditions throughout the year. The typical end of the day is around 3:00 PM, with flexibility for extended hours, outages, or weekend work as needed. Occasional on-call or weekend support may be required for site conditions, such as weather-related inspections. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Bell, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.95 - $58.65/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
