Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a Project Development Engineer to support project development, preconstruction, and constructability activities for private infrastructure and buried utility projects. This role will bridge Business Development, Estimating, Engineering, and Construction Operations , helping turn early project concepts into executable construction plans. Key Responsibilities Lead project development and preconstruction activities. Define project scope, feasibility, risks, and construction requirements. Develop execution strategies, sequencing, logistics, route planning, budgets, and preliminary schedules. Perform constructability reviews and support value engineering. Provide technical expertise in buried utilities, trenching, boring, plowing, conduit installation, earthwork, grading, and site development . Evaluate utility conflicts, permitting, easements, right-of-way, and environmental constraints. Support proposals, client presentations, and project pursuits. Coordinate with owners, developers, engineers, designers, estimators, and operations teams. Support project turnover from development into construction. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 8+ years of construction experience. Experience in heavy civil, utility infrastructure, telecommunications/fiber, oil & gas, water, infrastructure, preconstruction, estimating, or project management. Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, particularly buried utility infrastructure . Experience with constructability, project planning, conceptual budgeting, scheduling, risk analysis, and scope development. Ability to review plans, specifications, contracts, geotechnical information, and utility documentation. Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Pay:
$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per yearBenefits:
