Job Description

Develop work schedules, manpower allocation, and material delivery timelines. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced roofing Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction disciplines and be adept at managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project timelines. This role requires hands-on experience in the field, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. Duties 1. Project Planning & Coordination
  • Review project scopes, contracts, and architectural drawings.
  • Develop work schedules, manpower allocation, and material delivery timelines. 2. Job Site Management
  • Supervise crews during active roofing operations.
  • Ensure proper installation techniques in compliance with manufacturer specifications and code.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to track progress and quality. 3. Subcontractor & Vendor Oversight
  • Schedule, coordinate, and communicate expectations with subcontractors.
  • Ensure safety compliance and hold subcontractors accountable for performance standards.
  • Coordinate with material suppliers for on-time deliveries and special-order items. 4. Customer & Stakeholder Communication
  • Act as the primary point of contact for property owners, GCs, or property managers.
  • Provide regular updates on job progress, delays, and changes in scope.
  • Manage expectations and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. 5. Budget & Cost Control
  • Monitor labor hours, material costs, and equipment usage to stay within budget.
  • Submit purchase orders and approve invoices for materials and labor.
  • Track and document any change orders for additional billing. 6. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain thorough project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and safety checklists.
  • Create job closeout packages, including warranties, lien waivers, and inspection reports.
  • Submit project documentation to appropriate parties, including insurance carriers if applicable. 7. Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and internal company safety policies.
  • Conduct safety briefings and verify proper PPE usage.
  • Ensure fall protection systems and site-specific safety plans are implemented and followed. 8. Final Inspection & Closeout
  • Coordinate final walkthroughs and punch lists with the property owner or GC.
  • Schedule third-party inspections as needed (city or manufacturer).
  • Ensure all final cleanup and repairs are completed and the project is closed out professionally.
