Full-Time About Us Legacy Plumbing and Mechanical is a growing commercial plumbing contractor specializing in commercial new construction throughout Western Washington. We take pride in delivering high-quality work, building strong relationships with our general contractors, and maintaining a positive, team-oriented culture. We are looking for an experienced Commercial Plumbing Estimator / Project Manager to join our team and help support our continued growth. Position Summary This position is responsible for estimating commercial plumbing projects from bid through award, as well as managing awarded projects to successful completion. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced in commercial plumbing construction.
Responsibilities Estimating:
Prepare accurate and competitive plumbing estimates for commercial new construction projects. Review plans, specifications, and addenda. Perform quantity takeoffs. Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing. Prepare bid proposals and clarifications. Attend pre-bid meetings when required.
Project Management:
Manage multiple commercial plumbing projects simultaneously. Coordinate with general contractors, field supervisors, vendors, and owners. Review contracts and project documents. Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, and change orders. Monitor project budgets and job costs. Schedule materials and equipment. Support field operations to keep projects on schedule. Attend project meetings as needed. Assist with project closeout documentation. Qualifications 5+ years of commercial plumbing estimating and/or project management experience. Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and construction methods. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word). Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
Experience with FastPIPE estimating software. Experience estimating commercial new construction plumbing projects. Experience reviewing project budgets, preparing change orders, and managing project financials.
