Job Description
Job Description Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Construction Manager to lead delivery of complex data center projects supporting AWS's global cloud. You'll own planning, scheduling, and execution of greenfield and retrofit builds, coordinating architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver on time, within budget, and to strict safety and quality standards. You will manage bids and change orders, track progress with data-driven reporting, and mitigate risks in a fast-paced, high-ownership culture that values innovation, customer-obsession, and continuous learning across global teams. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of AWS data center construction projects Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and scope Coordinate architects, engineers, and contractors on-site and remotely Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and building code standards Manage bids, contracts, and change orders with vendors Track progress using data-driven reporting and metrics Identify and mitigate construction and schedule risks Partner with internal AWS stakeholders to align on capacity needs Drive continuous improvement in construction processes and standards Support commissioning and handover to operations teams Required Skills Construction project management Data center construction Budgeting and cost control Vendor and contractor management Scheduling (Primavera/MS Project) Risk management Building codes and compliance Contract negotiation Technical documentation Stakeholder communication
