Job Description

Our commercial real estate client in Atlanta is hiring an experience Construction Manager who can lead field oversight for the organization's most complex commercial construction projects in the local market. You'll be on site daily, managing multiple multi-million-dollar buildouts at once while driving contractor accountability, controlling risk, and mentoring junior field staff. This is a minimum 12-month contract assignment in Midtown, Atlanta Responsibilities
  • Audit active sites daily to ensure quality execution of structural, MEP, and architectural work, and serve as the on-site authority on design intent and engineering conflicts.
  • Establish and enforce site safety, logistics, and environmental protection plans.
  • Direct General Contractors and specialty trades, and act as the primary field escalation point for disputes over site conditions, trade scope, and contract terms.
  • Manage relationships with landlords, building officials, and municipal contacts to expedite permits, approvals, and Certificates of Occupancy.
  • Review and approve contractor pay applications, change orders, and schedule analyses to control cost.
  • Anticipate market risks (labor, supply chain, regulatory) and implement recovery plans.
  • Lead project closeout, including handover, asset tracking, and CapEx finalization. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of field experience as a lead PM on major commercial interiors, structural retrofits, or ground-up developments.
  • Proven record of delivering multiple complex, multi-million dollar projects at once in a competitive urban market.
  • Expertise in building systems, MEP coordination, trade sequencing, and contract structures (Lump Sum, GMP, Cost-Plus).
  • Strong CapEx tracking and cost forecasting skills.
  • Strong negotiation and contract enforcement skills, with a working network of local trades, contractors, and municipal processes.

Pay:
$79.00 - $91.00 per hour
