Job Description

Our client is a leading construction and development firm specializing in commercial, industrial, and energy projects. We are seeking an experienced Director of Construction to lead all construction operations and oversee multiple large-scale projects from preconstruction through completion. Role Description Our client is seeking a qualified Director of Construction for a full-time role based in Canonsburg, PA. In this position, the Director of Construction will oversee project management and execution, ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising construction activities, managing budgets and procurement processes, collaborating with architects and engineers, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The Director will also liaise with stakeholders, providing updates and addressing any project concerns. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving performance, safety, profitability, and operational excellence across all job sites. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to company standards Manage budgets, forecasting, contracts, and financial performance Establish and improve construction processes and best practices Ensure OSHA compliance, quality control, and risk mitigation Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships Report project performance and KPIs to executive leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred or 8 years of related construction experience 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing multiple projects PMP preferred OSHA 30 Certification. Proven success managing large-scale commercial, industrial, or energy construction projects. Experience in construction management and a solid understanding of Civil Engineering principles. Strong budgeting and cost management expertise to ensure projects remain within financial parameters. Knowledge of procurement processes and the ability to oversee material and vendor selections effectively. Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage teams and ensure project milestones are met. Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Autodesk, Bluebeam, etc.). Experience in stakeholder management and the ability to handle complex projects is an advantage.
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
