Job Description
Vision:
The Director of Worship will champion worship leading throughout our weekend services and offerings at the South Hills Campus of The Bible Chapel. This role will also partner with and help develop the structure of worship within our Next Gen Ministries (Chapel Kids, Special Needs, 56, Chapel Students and Young Adults). This role will partner with ministry leaders to build healthy worship and leadership teams, including personally building/developing original TBC worship songs, while keeping weekend worship leadership as the primary focus.Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary worship leader for the South Hills Campus, leading at least 75% of weekend services annually and managing scheduled rehearsals, providing strong musical, spiritual, and platform leadership. Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and oversight to the Associate Director of Worship when the position is staffed. Oversee worship needs for Celebration of Life services and Weddings. Lead worship for special events throughout the year, including Nights of Worship, Prayer Nights, Wednesday Night Kickoff, and other leadership-approved opportunities. Partner with Chapel Kids team in overseeing VBS Worship Programming. Collaborate with pastors and Creative Arts on service planning, song selection, and creative ideas for weekend, holiday, and special services. Partner with Creative Arts and Production teams to create cohesive and excellent audio, visual, and worship experiences. Shepherd and develop worship team members through prayer, care, spiritual formation, musical growth, and intentional opportunities to lead. Recruit, audition, onboard, train, and develop worship volunteers in alignment with Team TBC processes and culture. Partner with Chapel Kids, Special Needs, 56, Chapel Students, and Young Adult Ministry leaders to identify worship needs and help recruit, train, develop, and build sustainable worship teams and leadership within each ministry area. Provide coaching, resources, training, and ongoing support to Next Generation ministry leaders and worship volunteers to cultivate a consistent, healthy, and sustainable worship culture aligned with The Bible Chapel's vision and worship standards. Oversee Concert Ministry implementation, including artist selection with XLT approval, contracts, volunteer recruitment, interdepartmental communication, and day-of concert responsibilities. Research and implement worship songs and musical trends relevant to the next generation while remaining aligned with The Bible Chapel's doctrine and Song Selection Standards. Build and oversee Chapel Worship in partnership with the Lead Pastor, establishing an intentional annual songwriting rhythm that develops and theologically refines original TBC worship songs rooted in God's Word while preserving weekend worship leadership as the role's primary ministry focus. Oversee song resource package creation and the on-going and seasonal CCLI reporting. Participate in Worship/Production staff meetings and other planning meetings as needed. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in worship arts, preferably within a large or multi-site church environment. Strong vocal and instrumental proficiency is required, along with the ability to communicate effectively with large groups. Candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines. A flexible and collaborative team-player mindset is essential.Time/Allocation :
