A Construction Project Manager supervises construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. Controls the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. Plans and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.

Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesLead project delivery for airfield, terminal and supporting infrastructure projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout, ensuring schedule, budget and quality objectives are met.
Prepare and manage project schedules using MS Project and Primavera P6; develop phased construction plans and NOTAMs coordination to minimize impacts on airport operations.
Manage cost estimating, budget control, forecasting, value engineering, and financial reporting; administer contracts, process change orders and manage claims and dispute resolution.
Prepare and manage RFP/RFQ packages, oversee bid management and subcontractor selection, review and approve shop drawings, submittals and RFIs.
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and Advisory Circulars, coordinate with FAA, airlines, airport operations and other stakeholders throughout design and construction.
Oversee airfield pavement construction and rehabilitation (concrete and asphalt), review pavement design and pavement maintenance strategies, and manage pavement materials testing to
ASTM/AASHTO
standards.Coordinate airfield lighting (AGL), signage, NAVAIDs installation and testing, and integration with airport electrical and communications systems.
Direct MEP coordination including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, drainage, utilities, earthworks and grading, and integration with baggage handling and terminal systems.
Manage environmental compliance including NEPA deliverables, wetland permitting, stormwater management/SWPPP, erosion and sediment control, permitting and environmental monitoring.
Oversee geotechnical investigations, soil stabilization, surveying, construction layout and staking to ensure accurate field implementation.
Implement and enforce QA/QC programs, materials testing, construction inspection protocols and commissioning procedures to ensure workmanship and performance standards.
Lead safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance on site; develop site-specific safety plans and coordinate safety trainings and audits.
Coordinate fueling system construction activities and third-party interfaces; manage coordination for baggage handling, security systems and terminal fit-out as required.
Drive stakeholder engagement and airline coordination, facilitate regular project meetings, report progress to owners and stakeholders, and manage expectations and communications.
Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and apply risk management best practices to maintain schedule and budget performance.
Leverage BIM, Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design tools to review models and drawings, support clash detection, and manage as-built documentation and closeout deliverables.
QualificationsBachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology or related field; Masters degree preferred.
Minimum 7-10 years of progressive project management experience in construction with at least 5 years focused on airport/airfield construction and aviation projects.
Proven knowledge of FAA regulations and Advisory Circulars, airfield pavement design and construction (concrete and asphalt), AGL and signage, and NAVAIDs coordination.
Experience with environmental compliance for airports including NEPA, wetland permitting, NOTAMs, SWPPP, erosion control and permitting processes.
Strong background in MEP coordination, fueling systems, baggage handling and terminal systems, and commissioning/closeout procedures.
Proficiency in project scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P6), BIM/Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and familiarity with surveying and construction layout.
Experience with QA/QC, materials testing standards (ASTM/AASHTO), construction inspection, and safety/OSHA compliance.
Demonstrated skills in cost estimating, budget control, contract administration, claims management, RFP/RFQ preparation and bid management.
Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder and airline coordination skills, with the ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and client relationships.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification is a plus; ability to obtain airport security clearances or badges and to travel to project sites as required.
Strong problem solving, value engineering and risk management abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
