Heart and Hand Ministries (HNH) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1997 to provide support for individuals and families experiencing poverty. Located in the Belton/Raymore area, we serve the KC Metro area. Section 1: Overview and Scope of Position We are seeking a hard-working and experienced Manager of Operations to oversee our daily operations and ensure that our programs runs smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a high capacity to produce results, leadership experience to work at the higher level of organizational administration, the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, and a passion for helping create a culture of excellence. Section 2: Qualifications (skills, education, experience) Bachelor's degree or trade school graduate required. Masters in related field preferred but not required. At least 1-2 years' experience in operations management, project management or related activities either in the nonprofit sector or private sector. 2-3 years preferred. As least 1-2 year experience supervising one or more direct reports. 2-3 years preferred. Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft 365, and the ability to learn web-based software quickly required. Proficiency in Constant Contact, Canva, and other software. Valid driver license required. Section 3: Responsibilities/Duties Work closely with Executive Director to implement organizational priorities for programs and personnel. Operate in managerial capacity as the point person for logistical needs of programs in concert with organizational priorities. Be the on-site manager ready to respond to operational and personnel issues as they arise. Take a lead role in assigned projects, specifically around organizational infrastructure: communications, website, software, administrative documents and otherwise as needed Assist with operational logistics as needed in the Day Center, Food Pantry, Thrift Store, & future programs. Provide support and leadership for "all hands on deck" events, most specifically Gala in the Spring, Back to School event in Summer, and Thanksgiving event in the Fall. Serve as point of contact for onboarding new employees in conjunction with ED and Finance Manager Facilities & Property Management Oversee property management duties for HNH facilities, working with vendors to schedule and oversee repairs as needed Maintain all systems including major systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and minor items (batteries, light fixtures, dumpsters, etc.) to keep Program Center and Thrift Store in good working conditions. Be point person for regular vendors like janitorial company, pest control, snow removal, landscaping, etc. Keep all keys organized, duplicated, distributed, keep key authorization forms up to date for each employee, and handle locksmith issues as they arise Oversee box trucks and maintain in good working order, taking in for service as needed, keeping up to date insurance info in vehicles as well as servicing licensing needs. Develop policies and procedures related to operations and keep liability release forms up to date Communications & Technology Wok with graphic designer keep website updated as well as keep letterhead & logos up to date and accessible Be able to design email campaigns in Constant Contact & manage social media Manage IT needs for HNH as primary contact for IT vendor, conduct light troubleshooting for network, computers, printers, and internet accounts Function as administrator for Google Workspace & point person for managing Google Workspace Handle logistics for Camera system including keeping suspended client lists up to date & creating incident files as necessary Develop and update HNH tech property inventory in spreadsheet Interim Volunteer Manager Work with ED and staff to streamline volunteer manager role and maintain this role until we are able to hire the right employee to take it over. Recruit volunteers utilizing relational networks, volunteer organizations, and church partners, including being on site at locations for volunteer drives Oversee group service projects: setting tasks, purchasing supplies, set up for group, work with group on projects, and insure clean up after group leaves. Miscellaneous Perform other reasonably related duties as necessary to support operational needs for the organization. Section 5: Working Conditions and Physical Effort Regular hours Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm at our Program Center building with some opportunity to work from home on occasion. Evening/weekends hours may required on occasion. Much of the work is typically performed in an interior temperature-controlled office work environment. Position requires both prolonged periods of sitting at a computer as well as actively executing operational tasks primarily at the program center building and occasionally at our thrift store or warehouse. Some of the work will require loading and unloading boxes to/from our box truck, ability to lift between 40-60 lbs. occasionally is required. Section 6:
Compensation Salary Range:
$50,000 - $60,00
PTO:
2-3 weeks/year, Paid Holidays, Cell Phone Stipend, Mileage Reimbursement, Health Insurance plan in formation (will go live in Dec or Jan.) Opportunity for advancement, annual cost-of-living increases, and performance based pay increases.
