About the Role Serac Inc. is a global OEM of filling, capping, and cup-filling packaging machinery. We are hiring an On-Site Manager to own on-site coordination of installation, commissioning, retrofit, and service projects at customer manufacturing facilities. You will lead mixed teams of Serac technicians, third-party OEM personnel, and contractors, working hand in hand with our project managers to deliver safe, on-time, compliant projects. What You'll Do Lead installation and commissioning of new filling-capping machines, up to complete lines. Run rebuild and retrofit activities on existing equipment in the field. Own site safety and compliance with OSHA and food safety standards (GMP). Track milestones against the project plan and keep them documented. Deliver professional daily reports covering site activity, issues, customer production schedule, and technician hours. Manage technician concerns and handle internal escalation. Stay in constant communication with the Serac project manager or assignee. What You Bring 7+ years installing packaging machines , preferably filling and capping equipment (OEM machine-builder background). 5+ years leading on-site teams of varied backgrounds and suppliers.
Strong automation foundation:
electrical circuitry, PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), computer-based controls (e.g. Isagraf), plus reading pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.
Excellent communication:
you can run a professional customer-facing meeting and keep clean daily records. Spanish or French is a plus.
Travel flexibility:
able to travel 80%+, work weekends and overtime, and deploy 2 to 4 weeks at a time.
Education:
associate degree in engineering minimum; equivalent hands-on experience considered in place of formal education. Compensation $55
  • 65 hourly, based on experience.
Physical Requirements Work is performed largely at customer sites, with some time at remote locations or Serac's office. Must lift and carry up to 50 lbs and bend, kneel, walk, or sit for extended periods. Domestic and international travel by air and auto required. Serac does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
