Position Overview We are looking for a reliable, collaborative licensing partner and construction manager. Because we frequently partner with independent builders and execute a high volume of "design-only" contracts, our construction division scales up and down based on project demand.
This position does not require daily on-site presence. Instead, and when needed, you will provide plan reviews, sign off on permits when InterLux Interiors acts as the builder, and conduct milestone field inspections in our regional markets.

Permitting:
Review construction drawings, sign, and seal permit packages to pull structural and trade permits in local municipal building departments.
Milestone Field Oversight:
Conduct targeted site visits at critical project milestones (framing, rough-ins, final walkthroughs) to ensure building code compliance.
Design Collaboration:
Provide high-level constructability advice to our principal interior design team during the planning phases.
Inspection Management:
Ensure active permits are closed out cleanly with local building departments. Qualifications & Requirements Must hold an active, valid Florida Certified Building Contractor (CBC) or Certified General Contractor (CGC) license. Clean disciplinary and public record with the Florida
DBPR/CILB.
Agreement to be structured as a part-time W-2 employee (required for DBPR regulatory compliance). Willingness to travel periodically to project sites in the Tampa Bay area and surrounding regional markets (travel time is fully compensated hourly). Experience with commercial retail/office build-outs or high-end residential remodeling is highly preferred. What We Offer (Our 3-Part Fee Structure) Guaranteed W-2
Monthly Base Retainer:
A steady, monthly baseline salary ($1,500 - $2,000/mo) to keep your license active with InterLux Interiors, even during months with no active builds.
Flat Per-Permit Fees:
An additional flat fee ($1,500 - $2,500) paid out at project milestones every time you sign and pull a project permit.
Hourly Field Rate:
An agreed-upon hourly rate ($75 - $100/hr) that fully covers your drive time and on-site hours for mandatory inspections.
Complete Financial Shielding:
The company acts as the FRO and holds the $100,000 state bond, completely eliminating your personal financial liability for business debts.
