Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong expertise in fiber construction to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects across multiple markets. This position requires advanced leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage remote teams and subcontractors effectively. The ideal candidate will ensure that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and with the highest quality and safety standards. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and prior experience in telecom or fiber construction are strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Direct and manage all phases of fiber construction projects—from design and planning through execution and close-out. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation. Manage budgets, schedules, and procurement to ensure profitability and project success. Coordinate remote cross-functional teams including engineers, field supervisors, contractors, and subcontractors. Serve as the main client contact, providing regular updates on milestones, risks, and project performance. Implement and maintain structured change management and documentation controls. Identify, assess, and mitigate potential project risks to avoid cost overruns or delays. Oversee all project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and reports. Ensure compliance with quality control standards, safety procedures, and local/state regulations. Use project management software (Penguin preferred) and communication tools, Google Drive and Paychex for efficient tracking and reporting. Mentor field supervisors, fostering team growth and performance.
Qualifications Experience:
5+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial, civil, or fiber construction .
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience.
Certifications:
PMP certification strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Smart Sheets, and collaboration platforms such as Teams or Slack.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication with proven ability to manage clients and remote teams.
Organization:
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously.
Remote Leadership:
Proven success leading distributed project teams and vendors.
Travel:
Occasional travel to project sites for key meetings or inspections.
