Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30 Key Responsibilities Day-to-day responsibilities of this position: Overseeing all activities in the Recycling Center. Supporting special events that are held at the Utah State Developmental Center. Training staff and the individuals on specific job skills. Coordinating with vendors that contract with the Recycling center. Coordinates program activities, services, and/or program implementation with private providers, other governmental entities, program users, etc. Works in a team effort to help the maintenance or service operations become successful. Delivers presentations, stand up training, or instruction to staff, management, clients, or the general public. Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available. Orders, receives, inspects, and stores equipment, merchandise, commodities, materials, and/or supplies. Maintains a therapeutic, safe, and secure environment, including monitoring access to secure areas, general housekeeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc. Observes resident and/or client behavior in structured and unstructured settings to determine behavior patterns and functioning levels. Qualifications Minimum or "day-one" qualifications: One or more years of experience working with the physically and intellectually disabled population Ability to obtain a Forklift certification Ability to maintain a valid Utah drivers license Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or 1/4 of your body weight, whichever is less with or without a reasonable accommodation Ability to drive a box truck.Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications:
Current Fork Lift Certification Prior work related supervisory Experience About the Role Incumbents in this job correlate activities at one of the Living Skills Centers at the Utah State Developmental Center; provide training and instruction to clients at the Utah State Developmental Center in basic living skills, proper social behavior, or physical competency; in-service staff regarding services available at the center.
