About Kya Homes Kya Homes is a locally owned custom home builder serving Northeast Georgia. We specialize in turnkey, scattered-lot residential construction, providing our customers with a transparent, personalized building experience from start to finish.

build quality homes, communicate well, and treat every customer with honesty and respect. We're growing and looking for an experienced Residential Drafter to join our team. Position Summary The Residential Revit Drafter will develop accurate, detailed, and construction-ready plans for custom homes using Autodesk Revit. This position will work closely with our design and construction teams to transform concepts, sketches, redlines, and customer requests into complete residential construction documents. The ideal candidate understands that a successful set of plans must be visually appealing, technically accurate, and practical to build. Strong attention to detail, residential construction knowledge, and the ability to manage revisions efficiently are essential for this role. Responsibilities Produce residential construction documents using Autodesk Revit. Create floor plans, foundation plans, roof plans, exterior elevations, building sections, schedules, and construction details. Convert design concepts, sketches, redlines, and customer requests into accurate drawings. Revise plans throughout the design, estimating, permitting, and preconstruction process. Coordinate architectural drawings with surveys, site conditions, structural engineering, specifications, and trade requirements. Review plans for accuracy, consistency, constructability, and compliance with applicable building codes. Identify and help resolve design or construction conflicts before plans are released for permitting or construction. Maintain organized Revit models, templates, families, drawing files, and project documentation. Communicate with designers, project managers, engineers, customers, and other members of the project team. Manage multiple drafting projects and plan revisions while meeting established deadlines. Help maintain and improve company drafting standards and plan templates. Qualifications Two or more years of residential drafting or design experience is preferred. An associate or bachelor's degree in Architecture, Drafting, Design, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required. Equivalent residential drafting and construction experience will be considered. A portfolio or examples of residential construction documents may be requested. Preferred Qualifications Experience drafting custom homes or scattered-lot residential projects. Familiarity with Georgia residential building codes and local permitting requirements. Experience coordinating architectural drawings with structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and site information. Experience with AutoCAD, Enscape, Twinmotion, or similar design and rendering software. Knowledge of residential estimating, permitting, and construction processes. Ability to create clear and attractive 3D residential presentations or renderings.
