PDS Tech is assisting a local client in recruiting for a Production Expeditor
  • Site Manager opportunity in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to support a large‑scale manufacturing and assembly project while gaining hands‑on site leadership experience. If Production Expeditor

  • Site Manager include but are not limited to: Support on‑site follow‑up of building manufacturing and assembly activities, including shell construction, interior PB/DB installation, FPS, HVAC, and lighting installation.
Confirm required materials are ordered and delivered on time to support the project schedule. Track daily and weekly site progress, including: Manpower levels versus plan Labor hours and shift coverage Tasks completed and percent progress Daily challenges and constraints Punch lists, corrective actions, and closure tracking Attend and actively participate in scheduled and emergent project meetings and calls. Review daily work plans and confirm completed accomplishments with site teams. Schedule and lead 2-3 week look‑ahead meetings with suppliers and sub‑suppliers. Conduct site visits to sub‑supplier manufacturing facilities as needed to assess production progress and compliance with reporting. Ensure look‑ahead schedules include required Witness and Hold Points, coordinating with QA teams to submit Notices of Inspection (NOIs) within required timeframes. Review rolling 3‑week look‑ahead plans weekly to anticipate production capacity, equipment deliveries, manpower needs, and percent completion. Prepare and deliver weekly progress reports to Project and Procurement teams, including feedback and risk mitigation actions. Monitor the condition and certification status of site equipment such as cranes and welding equipment. Ensure all work is performed safely; address safety concerns immediately and stop work if required. Coordinate with internal and site QA teams to ensure work complies with project drawings and specifications. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify risks, propose solutions, and improve manufacturing efficiency and supplier performance. Optional future scope may include supervision of electrical equipment installation and support of integrated commissioning. Candidates for Production Expeditor
  • Site Manager must meet the following requirements to be considered: Experience supporting manufacturing, construction, or industrial assembly projects in a site‑based role.
Strong understanding of production tracking, schedules, manpower planning, and supplier coordination. Ability to lead meetings, communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams, and manage multiple workstreams. Knowledge of safety requirements, equipment certification, and quality assurance processes. Comfort working in a hybrid environment with frequent on‑site presence as business needs require. Pay Details:
