Superintendent Southlake, TX Full-TimeOn-Site$100,000 - $140,000 /yr Posted July 27, 2026 Superintendent - Commercial & Medical Construction Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site execution of commercial and medical/urgent care projects. The Superintendent will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, on budget, and to the quality standards required for healthcare environments. This role requires strong field leadership, excellent communication with owners, architects and subcontractors, and a working knowledge of medical facility requirements and infection control practices. Key Responsibilities Lead daily on-site operations and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and vendors to achieve project milestones and schedules. Enforce safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety plans, including Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) procedures for medical projects. Manage quality control and perform regular inspections to ensure work meets contract documents, specifications, and relevant codes (building, electrical, mechanical, life-safety). Coordinate with project management and superintendents to monitor schedule, identify delays, and implement recovery plans to maintain critical path. Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and as-built documentation; maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and project documentation. Serve as primary on-site point of contact for clients, architects, consultants, and inspectors; facilitate pre-installation meetings and progress meetings. Coordinate deliveries, logistics, site access, and staging to minimize disruptions on occupied sites (urgent care/medical facilities) and maintain infection control/cleanliness standards. Oversee commissioning activities, punch lists, final inspections, and project closeout including turnover packages and O&M manuals. Track labor productivity and collaborate with project management to control costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage subcontractor performance. Qualifications 5+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience; demonstrable experience supervising medical or urgent care projects strongly preferred. Proven track record managing medium to large commercial or healthcare construction projects from groundbreaking through turnover. Working knowledge of healthcare construction requirements and protocols (ICRA, HEPA, FGI Guidelines, NFPA, life-safety and infection control practices). Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate multi-trade crews and maintain client relationships on occupied sites. Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, or similar) and standard field documentation practices (daily logs, RFI tracking, submittals). Competency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and building codes. OSHA 30-hour card or equivalent safety training required; CPR/First Aid certification and additional medical construction training preferred. Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass background and drug screenings. Ability to lift/move materials on site, work extended hours when required, and travel between project locations as needed.
