The Construction Logistics and Field Operations team member at Signature LLC provides hands-on support for multiple active construction projects and assists Construction Project Managers with day-to-day field needs to keep production running efficiently. This split role combines logistics, light-equipment work, jobsite support, and substantial physical labor. It offers growth potential toward Construction Superintendent as knowledge, judgment, reliability, and leadership are demonstrated.

Accountability:

This position reports to the Construction Project Managers, supports multiple PMs and projects, and works alongside field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and other Signature team members. The employee is accountable for communicating progress and concerns, caring for company resources, completing assigned work, and helping maintain Signature's standards for quality, safety, cleanliness, and customer service.

Goals:

Support all active construction projects by keeping materials, tools, machinery, deliveries, and crews prepared for the work ahead. Serve customers well through professional communication, organization, and respectful conduct on every jobsite. Make planning and preparation a priority while supplementing projects with hands-on skills whenever needed to support quality, timeline, or crew productivity. Identify practical solutions to field obstacles and communicate needs, shortages, changes, or delays early and clearly. Build the construction knowledge and leadership judgment needed to take on increasing Superintendent responsibilities.

Job Duties:

Load, transport, unload, stage, and organize construction materials, tools, and machinery across multiple active projects. Safely drive work trucks, handle trailers, and protect company vehicles, equipment, tools, and materials. Operate or learn to operate skid steers, mini excavators, and similar light equipment when trained, qualified, and assigned. Set up jobsites, work areas, tools, materials, and equipment so crews can begin safely and productively. Handle day-level procurement and logistics, including pickups, deliveries, order checks, material shortages, and coordination with PMs, vendors, and crews. Perform hands-on construction work, including digging trenches, grading, loading and unloading, moving materials, cleanup, and other manual tasks required to meet daily objectives. Confirm crews have the resources they need and understand the planned scope and daily priorities communicated by the PM. Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance; monitor changing weather and help protect work and materials as needed. Be available and responsive to PMs and crews and communicate progress, needs, jobsite conditions, and anticipated obstacles during the workday. As capability is demonstrated, help direct daily crew activity, communicate scope, coordinate resources and subcontractors, check quality, document progress, and take increasing ownership of Superintendent duties.

Physical and Working Conditions:

Physical work is a non-negotiable part of this position. The role requires substantial manual labor throughout the day, including repeated heavy lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, digging, grading, trench work, and material handling on active and uneven jobsites. The employee must be prepared to work outdoors through Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina heat, cold, rain, humidity, and changing seasonal conditions while following required safety practices.

Growth Toward Construction Superintendent:

As trust, capability, and construction knowledge grow, the role may expand to include coordinating with PMs on upcoming work; setting crews up for the day; communicating and assigning daily objectives; providing on-site supervision of labor crews and subcontractors; verifying work against plans and scope; coordinating materials and equipment; monitoring quality, safety, budgeted time, and cleanliness; documenting progress; and working alongside crews to complete tasks.

Work Schedule:

Full-time field position; daily and weekly priorities are based on active project needs and direction from the Construction Project Managers. Regular travel among jobsites, suppliers, vendors, and Signature facilities throughout the service area is required. Early starts, schedule adjustments, and occasional extended hours may be required based on construction activity, deliveries, weather, and project needs.

Compensation:

Weekly salary between $800 - $1,000/week based on experience. PTO/Holiday pay and 401k to be discussed after training.
