Full Job Description BAS Construction Manager Position Responsibilities:
Leadership Manage and oversee work sites for new construction and remodel projects, coordinating site activities and assuring that all disciplines directly involved in the project are in phase with the project goals and objectives. Oversee and provide direction to general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors when doing groundwork ensuring quality standards are met. Provide leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, or other involved parties. Schedule and coordinate projects in logical steps and budget the time necessary to meet each deadline. Manage and lead actions that are necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites. Construction Attend coordination and progress meetings and make regular trips to sites during construction. Ensure adherence to the budget and, when unexpected complications or issues arise, make quick and necessary adjustments. Collaborate with clients, supervisory staff, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and construction or design issues. Requisition supplies or materials to complete construction projects and determine labor requirements for dispatching workers to construction sites. Compliance/Documentation Prepare internal/external reports pertaining to job status and obtain all necessary permits or licenses. Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, assuring working environment is maintained at acceptable levels, and tools and equipment are in good working condition. Prepares and submits budget estimates and regularly communicates with clients concerning budget progress and costs. Ensure safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met in construction. Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes or other regulations. Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed.
BAS Construction Manager Qualifications:
High School Diploma is required Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or another related field is preferred Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Associate Constructor (AC), and Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) designations preferred Five or more years of experience in management of new construction and/or remodeling projects required Excellent written and verbal communication Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts Knowledge of building code requirements and scheduling methods Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a constant eye on quality Knowledge of jobsite safety practices required
