Job Description
Job Description The Pre-Construction Manager, Data Center Construction leads early-phase planning for new AWS data center sites across multiple campuses. You coordinate with real estate, design, and due diligence teams to develop schedules, budgets, and constructability guidance. You review site conditions, phasing, and designs, manage preconstruction services from general contractors and vendors, support bidding and contracting, and prepare clear handoff documentation for construction teams. The role includes travel to prospective and active project sites. Responsibilities Lead pre-construction planning for new data center buildings and campuses, including scope definition, schedule, and budget development. (Explicit) Perform constructability and build phasing reviews for civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes on potential and active sites. (Explicit) Evaluate and communicate site requirements and risks that impact cost, schedule, and integration with surrounding properties. (Explicit) Manage general contractors and third-party vendors delivering pre-construction services, including RFPs, bids, and contract support. (Explicit) Review and analyze bids, proposals, and schedules, and support issuance of work orders, purchase orders, and related contracting documents.
