Job Description

Job Summary Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to plans and specifications. This includes managing subcontractors, coordinating schedules, enforcing safety protocols, and monitoring the quality of work. They act as the primary point of contact on the job site and report progress, issues, and solutions to the project manager or general contractor. Here's a more detailed breakdown of their responsibilities: Responsibilities Overseeing daily operations: Managing the day-to-day activities on the construction site.
Coordinating schedules:
Ensuring tasks are completed on time and in the correct sequence.
Managing subcontractors:
Supervising and coordinating the work of various subcontractors.
Procurement and materials:
Ordering materials, managing inventory, and coordinating deliveries.
Budget management:
Monitoring project expenditures and ensuring work stays within budget.
Quality control:
Ensuring the work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
Inspections:
Coordinating and facilitating inspections by local jurisdictions and other relevant parties.
Progress reporting:
Providing regular updates to the project manager or general contractor on project status.
Documentation:
Maintaining accurate and timely project documentation, including daily logs and other reports.
Resolving issues:
Addressing and resolving any conflicts or problems that arise on the job site.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforcing safety protocols: Ensuring all workers adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintaining a safe environment:
Keeping the job site clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Compliance with building codes:
Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes and regulations.
Leadership & Communication:
Leading and directing crews: Providing clear instructions and guidance to workers.
Communication:
Effectively communicating project requirements to subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Conflict resolution:
Handling conflicts and disputes that may arise on the job site.
Training and mentoring:
Providing training and support to site personnel to enhance their performance.
Building relationships:
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other Requirements 10+ years on site experience as superintendent Bilingual (English and Spanish)

$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
