Assistant Construction Lead Man.Position Type:
Full-time. Perform physical labor on construction sites and assist with a wide range of residential and commercial tasks. Duties include operating hand and power tools, small hoists, measuring and surveying equipment; preparing and cleaning work areas; excavation, framing, remodeling, repainting, minor electrical/plumbing, installing siding/insulation/flooring/windows/doors, digging pole holes, erecting scaffolding, debris removal, finish carpentry, and assisting other workers as needed. A CDL is a plus.What You'll Do:
Assist the Lead Man in supervising and directing construction crews. Monitor daily tasks, progress, and jobsite productivity. Ensure work meets quality and safety standards. Coordinate with Owner, Lead Man, and suppliers to maintain schedules. Operate and oversee safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery. Maintain a clean, organized, hazard free job site. Assist with training crew members to improve skills and efficiency. Troubleshoot onsite issues and adjust plans to meet deadlines. Demonstrate teamwork, punctuality, and safety-first thinking.What You'll Bring:
At least 2-4 years construction experience; leadership/supervisory experience required. High School Diploma or GED. Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Physical stamina and ability to work in varied weather conditions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. CDL is a plus.Work Context:
Must be able to communicate needs clearly with others. Must use PPE as required. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing. Outdoor environments with varied weather conditions. Work Setting /Job Hazards:
Construction site environment with risks including: Slips, trips, falls (uneven terrain, wet surfaces). Noise, dust, airborne particles. Working at heights (ladders, scaffolding, elevated platforms).Work Attire:
Cotton short/long-sleeved shirt. Shorts or jeans. Tennis shoes or work boots.Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:45 a.m.•4:30 p.m. May extend to 5:00 p.m.; Saturdays if needed.Shift:
Varied.Salary:
$43,680 per year.Driver's License:
