BIM Coordinator
Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a BIM Coordinator to support the engineering, procurement, and construction of hyperscale, mission-critical data center projects across the United States for a leading energy company. This role will be responsible for coordinating BIM and VDC activities across multiple disciplines, ensuring models are accurate, coordinated, and construction-ready throughout the project lifecycle. The BIM Coordinator will work closely with design teams, trade partners, consultants, field personnel, and project management teams to facilitate model integration, clash detection, constructability reviews, and digital project delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong MEP coordination experience, hands-on expertise with BIM platforms, and the ability to drive collaboration between design and construction stakeholders to improve project execution and reduce field conflicts. Skills and Requirements 5-10 years of BIM/VDC experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projectsDemonstrated hands-on experience performing MEP coordination, clash detection, and constructability reviews on complex projectsExperience maintaining federated models and coordinating across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural systemsExperience supporting BIM implementation throughout the design and construction lifecycleStrong understanding of construction sequencing and how BIM supports field execution and coordinationProficiency with Autodesk Revit and NavisworksExperience working within Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or ProcoreExperience facilitating coordination meetings and driving model issue resolution between stakeholdersStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of experience supporting data center or mission-critical facility construction projectsExperience with 4D simulations and construction sequencing workflowsExperience supporting digital twin initiatives, model validation, and quality assurance processesExperience with modular construction, prefabrication, or vendor-engineered MEP systemsAutodesk certifications and/or VDC-related credentialsExperience with reality capture technologies, Autodesk Recap, laser scanning, or point cloud workflowsFamiliarity with BIM automation, model-based quantity takeoffs, and digital turnover requirements We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
