We're seeking an experienced Construction Utility Supervisor to oversee day-to-day field operations and drive the successful completion of underground utility construction projects. In this leadership role, you'll manage crews, schedules, safety, communication, and performance—ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversee all phases of assigned construction projects, from planning through completion. Supervise daily jobsite operations, providing clear direction, leadership, and support to field teams. Read and interpret water and sewer construction drawings and specifications. Develop and manage project schedules using professional scheduling software. Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material needs across multiple projects. Monitor job progress, costs, and productivity; identify issues and recommend solutions. Review daily field reports and communicate progress and challenges to the Project Management team. Produce monthly project billings and support cost tracking efforts. Review subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy and scope alignment. Ensure all work meets customer specifications, quality standards, and contract requirements. Promote and enforce SSP safety policies while continuously improving jobsite safety practices. Ensure assigned teams comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Support performance evaluations by providing timely and constructive feedback. Submit employee timesheets, time-off requests, and required reports. Partner with Human Resources to address employee questions or concerns. Participate in ongoing training and development supported by experienced project managers and field leaders. Perform other duties as needed to support project success.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Proven leadership and supervisory experience in construction environments. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to clearly communicate expectations and motivate teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to manage schedules and reports using digital tools (iPad, scheduling software). Strong understanding of underground utility construction preferred. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of five (5) years of related construction experience , including at least two (2) years in a supervisory role . Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and perform field reporting using an iPad. Ability to traverse construction sites and facilities safely. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
