Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Superintendent to oversee road construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction management, excellent leadership abilities, and a thorough understanding of road construction processes. This role requires effective communication and coordination with various stakeholders, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, execution, and completion. Supervise on-site personnel and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations. Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate execution of project plans. Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to project plans. Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets, timelines, and resource allocation plans. Implement effective quality control measures throughout the construction process. Prepare construction estimates and manage procurement of materials as needed. Maintain clear communication with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders regarding project status and any issues that arise. Qualifications Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and estimating. Familiarity with GPS machine control is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively. Excellent leadership skills with experience in managing teams on-site. Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail for quality control measures. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices in the construction environment. A valid driver's license.
